National Afterschool Association Seeks Summer Research Intern

The NAA Research Intern will work closely with the Executive Director and other NAA partners and stakeholders.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to collecting, analyzing and synthesizing existing research for use by program leaders, site directors and other afterschool professionals; conducting interviews of national afterschool organization representatives as part of a data collection effort; creating fact sheets and research reports for distribution to a national professional network; assist in updating the NAA website, including compiling news articles, sharing information on social networks, and posting blogs about afterschool and out-of-school time advancements and initiatives.



  • Working knowledge and experience using email, word processing, and social media tools.
  • Initiative to work independently; must be comfortable working remotely with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of online and traditional research techniques.
  • Must have own laptop and phone.
  • Graduate level preferred but undergraduate acceptable.
