Research & Practice Fellow Opportunity: apply by Nov. 4, 2016

Apply for a 2017 Research + Practice Fellowship of up to $2000, designed for STEM educators and researchers interested in building more connections across research + practice.

The Research + Practice Collaboratory supports increased communication and collaboration among educators and educational researchers. To advance this cause, we created the Research + Practice Fellowship program to support educators to travel to research conferences, and researchers to travel to educator conferences. As an R+P Fellow, you will receive up to $2000 to attend a 2017 educational conference in order to meet and learn from other STEM educators and researchers. For example, teachers interested in engaging with educational research might attend regional or national research conferences such as AERANARST, or NCSM. Researchers wanting to connect with educators could apply to participate at conferences such as ASTC, ISTENCTMNSTA, or TODOS.  You will be teamed up with 2-3 other Fellows and touch base as a group, along with a Collaboratory mentor, at least once a day during the conference.

Apply now. K-12 teachers, educational leaders, informal learning educators, researchers, designers, developers, and graduate students are all encouraged to apply. Eligible 2017 conferences include (but aren’t limited to): AERA, ASTC, NARST, NCSM, NCTM, NSTA, & TODOS. Applicants must work and reside in the U.S.

Applications are due Friday, November 4, 2016.
Notifications of acceptance will be made by Friday, December 16, 2016.
